Website developing is a job where you can create/develop a website for personal uses or for a company you work for which makes it a lot easy and makes your business recognisable and will reach out to many customers.

Internet is most commonly used it today’s society and everything nowadays are ordered online and to have the skill to develop a website just for that person, you would need the following requirements.

“2 + years web development experience, preferably within an agency environment

Your portfolio, which demonstrates front end development

Self-organised and the ability to work to deadlines

Ability to assess workload and plan ahead

Involvement in the project life cycle including specification, development, and testing methodologies

Technical skills

A strong knowledge and experience in PHP

A strong knowledge and experience in HTML, MySQL, CSS, SSH, SFTP

Knowledge of and ability to solve cross-browser compatibility issues

Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)

An understanding of JavaScript, AJAX, Internet security issues and Internet protocols as well as experience of working to W3C standards would be an advantage

An understanding of open-source CMS platforms such as Joomla and Wordpress would be an advantage

Working knowledge of Linux servers, the LAMP stack, would be an advantage”


Most people who work under the web development earn around £20k to £25k per year (approximately £1700 - £2000 per week). Although in this source that has been given out, there haven’t really been any lists for qualifications needed but it focuses on mainly the skills and not so much for the quality, but the basic skills and qualities will be needed and communication skills are highly needed to be able to plan a group website for an organisation.
